Ilchester is ideally placed for a stopover, situated just off the A303 and midway between London and holiday destinations in Devon and Cornwall, and we are also 20 miles or so from the Somerset coast in the north and the Dorset Jurassic coast in the south.
There is an abundance of beautiful gardens and National Trust properties in the immediate area, and on our doorstep is the Fleet Air Arm museum, and 7 minutes’ drive takes you to the Haynes Motor Museum.
Ilchester’s restaurants pubs and hotels have a wide reputation for the high quality and good value of their menus.
