Ilchester Town Trust updated timetables released: Activities and classes at Town Hall and The Pavilion, and Ilchester Museum opening times.

Activities and classes at Ilchester Town Hall

Monday	Library is open	10am – 12noon weekly, exc. Bank Hols
Monday	Pilates with Sarah	6pm – 7pm weekly
Monday	Boxercise with Sarah	7.15pm – 8pm weekly
Tuesday	Yoga with Amy	7pm – 8.30pm weekly
Wednesday	Library is open	10am – 12noon weekly
Wednesday	Coffee Mornings	10am – 11.30am weekly (funds raised for a different charity each week)
Wednesday	Yoga with Sarah	6.30pm – 7.30pm weekly
Last Wednesday	History Group	2pm – 4pm last Wednesday each month
Thursday	Yoga with Amy followed by Chair Yoga with Amy	10am -11am, 11.30am – 12noon weekly
Thursday	Art Class with Faye and Eddie	2pm – 4pm weekly
Second Thursday	Ilchester Parish Council Meeting	7.30pm – second Thursday of each month
First Friday	‘Knit & Natter’	10am – 12noon first Friday each month

Wednesday	Dog Agility followed by Dog Socialisation Classes	12 noon – 1pm 1.15pm – 215pm weekly
Thursday	Miss Natasha Dance Classes	3.45pm – 5pm term time only
Thursday	Spinning with John	6.30pm – 7.20pm weekly

Saturday	29th June, 13th July, 27th July, 10th August, 24th August, 7th September, 21st September, 5th October, 19th October	11am – 3pm Alternate Saturdays FREE ENTRY
Saturday 10th August	Museum heritage day on the sports field with fun activities; details TBA

Ilchester Heritage Centre

Ilchester Heritage Centre

The heritage centre is based in the town hall. Its entrance is on the High Street. It opens throughout the spring and summer on Wednesdays and the last Saturday of the month. Why not call in and find out about the people who were here before the Romans, what life was like in Roman Ilchester, and our medieval heyday. Discover how scandal led to the closure of our gaol, See the key of the cell in which prisoners condemned to death were held. This year we tell how Jane Austen’s aunt was forced to live in Ilchester awaiting her trial for shoplifting. Find out if she was convicted.

2025 dates and opening hours detailed below.

Tours of the Roman cemetery: last Wednesday of the month April-October 12.30pm. Pop into the museum to book or email Ilchester.heritage@gmail.com, Note the site is very overgrown. Good walking shoes and walking clothes needed. Ilchester Heritage Centre is owned by Ilchester Town Trust and run by volunteers. Ilchester Community Library

The Ilchester Community Library is based in the Town Hall. It is currently open on Mondays and Wednesdays between 10 am and 12 noon. See the flyer below. Everyone is welcome to use the library.
