New Fridge at the Pavilion

(As Strictly’s Giovanni would say …. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!)

Hi, I’m Max and I am the Clerk to the Trustees at the Ilchester Town Trust. I joined the Trust at the end of last year, and work alongside my colleagues Julie and Kat, our Volunteers, and of course the Trustees.

As many of you will know, the Trust runs a weekly car boot sale on a Sunday from April through to October every year. This year has been different due to Covid restrictions. Car boot sales started at the end of June in the summer, once all of our amazing volunteers had been double vaccinated. I went along to the first couple of sales and decided to set up a stall to see if I could raise enough money to fund a new fridge for the Ilchester Sports Pavilion.

Thanks to a plethora of donations, and some very generous buyers, we raised the money to purchase our fridge, which was delivered today, Saturday 20th November. The very well known white goods store gave me a four hour time slot for delivery, and I therefore arrived at the Pavilion before 7.30am this morning. It was my intention to take a photo of our sparkly new fridge, but I forgot! It’s not the end of the world, it’s just your standard everyday white fridge, but whilst I was waiting for the delivery lorry to arrive, I took some early morning photo’s of our fabulous Sportsfield, which I thought would be far more interesting to share. Thank you so much for supporting the Car Boot Sales and the Ilchester Town Trust. Best wishes Max.
